Berkshire Local History Association 48th AGM
Event Description
We are excited to invite you to our AGM on Saturday, March 28th.
We will be guests of the Hedgerley Local History Society, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026. Our venue is Hedgerley Memorial Hall, Kiln Lane, Hedgerley, Buckinghamshire, SL2 3UU.
The hall will be available from 10:30 for societies to set up displays.
Refreshments will be available from 11 a.m. AGM business will start promptly at 11.30 am and will be followed by a talk on the history of Hedgerley by Julian Hunt.
Following lunch, there will be the opportunity to visit the unique 17th-century Kedermister Library attached to Langley Church (St Mary’s Road, Langley, Slough SL3 7EN).
The Kedermister family were Lords of the Manor of Langley Marish. There is a maximum of 30 places for this visit, and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We are advised that individuals make a suggested donation of £5. Parking is available in the Red Lion public house, opposite the church.
TRANSPORT: The easiest option is by car, Hedgerley is located close to Junction 2 of the M40, and there is parking at the Memorial Hall for approximately 20 cars, so you may wish to car share.
REFRESHMENTS: Teas and coffees will be available on arrival and at lunchtime, when a finger buffet will also be provided at a cost of £5 per head. Booking is required in advance for food; please indicate the number of people attending who wish to have food on the booking form below.
Please respond by Tuesday, 24th March 2026, by contacting our Secretary, Jo Alexander-Jones, at secretary@blha.org.uk with any problems or queries.
