Joe Doak retired as Associate Professor of Urban Planning & Development from the University of Reading in 2019. He is currently undertaking doctoral research in urban history at the Department of Real Estate & Planning (Henley Business School). His PhD is exploring the development and redevelopment of Huntley & Palmer’s biscuit factory 1800-2000. He is soon to move from Reading to Dorset, where he is currently the Vice-Chair and Social Media Manager for Dorchester Civic Society. On that basis, he would prefer to deliver online presentations but is prepared to travel ‘if asked nicely’!
