POW Worker

Postby Dave57 » Fri Aug 21, 2009 4:13 pm

From 1943 to 1948 I was a German POW in England. I was put to work at a Bakery in Thatcham near Newbury. It was called the Steam Bakery if I remember correctly. I became very friendly with the owner family, especially the children (in their late twenties) and am trying to find out if there are any surviving members. I would be very grateful if anyone could supply information on the Bakery and whereabouts of the family.
Many thanks,
Guenter Hanke
