Budge's Farm, Wokingham

Postby Contributor » Tue Sep 22, 2009 10:52 am

My great-great-uncle was Benjamin Budge who lived at Dowells Green Farm [1861 census] and Budge's Farm [1871 census] and who, I presume, had something to do with Budge's Gardens and Budge's Cottages. Any information about these would be wonderful. I visited the area yesterday and was interested to see the names existed even if they were now, mostly, modern housing. And what is the fate of Dowells Green Farm ? Barracaded as it is in the centre of the new estate !
