Life in 1930's Maidenhead

Postby Contributor » Tue Sep 22, 2009 11:47 am

My grandfather's cousin Dr Matthew Thornton Cassidy and his wife Doctor Marie Cassidy lived in Maidenhead from the early 1930's till Matthew's death there in 1947. They had one son Charles Desmond Cassidy who was a barrister in London. Have been trying to find out more about their life in Berkshire and if at that point they were still practicing perhaps with a surgery in Maidenhead. Their address at that time was the Cottage, Harrow Lane, Maidenhead. Is there anyway of finding out about life in Maidenhead at that time?

Sorry. Can't find them in the 1940 Maidenhead directory. Have you tried the Wellcome Foundation, they have records of doctors.
