I have a photo of a Typhoon Squadron taken at the Grove in 1944/45 in which my late Father served as ground crew. I am trying to find what squadrons he served with can anyone tell me what squadrons used the airfield during this period.

It was an USAF base during the war, apparently the busiest in Europe getting supplies out to people, if you find a web site for Wantage museum it does have a few bits on there I think but can probably point you in the right direction to people that know more.
There is a small memorial on the old site to the blokes from the base
