41st Annual General Meeting
Saturday 10th March 2018
Maidenhead Community Centre, 42 York Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1SH
Many thanks to the members of the Maidenhead Archaeological and Historical Society, who will be hosting our 41st Annual General Meeting. The programme will follow the usual format: arrival and refreshments from 11 a.m. with the AGM starting at 11.30. There will probably be two pre-lunch talks, one on a topical theme by a guest speaker, and the other a Presidential Address from Brian Boulter. His theme will be the origins of Maidenhead. After a sandwich lunch, there will be a guided walk (no longer than an hour), and a visit to the Maidenhead Heritage Centre. Full details will be posted on the website, circulated in an eBulletin, and sent to all those who have booked to attend.
AGM BUSINESS: We will endeavour to keep the business part of the day as short as possible to make more time available for social and cultural activities.
TRANSPORT: Maidenhead Community Centre is ten minutes’ walk from the railway station. Parking is available in the Town Hall car park opposite; the smaller Grove Road car park is five minutes’ walk away, and the Broadway car park ten minutes.
DISPLAYS: For societies wishing to set up displays, the Community Centre will be open from 10 a.m.; for those who need to drop off heavy items, there is a forecourt which can be used for unloading.
MOBILITY CONCERNS: Arrangements can be made to use the parking spaces at the Community Centre, but as they are very few in number, if you need one of them, please notify Ann Smith when booking.
LUNCH: Please bring a packed lunch, or you could visit one of several nearby cafes. Tea and coffee will be provided. There will be no charge for attending this meeting.
Please respond by Friday, 2nd March, 2018. Send booking details to
