Annual General Meetings

43rd Annual General Meeting

Following the success of the 2019 AGM we have been planning for 2020. The Marcham Society has kindly offered to be hosts for the event, which will be held on Saturday 28th March 2020.

All Saints Church, Church Street, Marcham, Oxfordshire, OX13 6NW

The venue for this year’s Annual General Meeting will be provided by the Marcham Society. Marcham was in Berkshire until the 1974 county boundary changes and still feels linked to our country through its history.

The programme will start at 11.00 with refreshments in the church, followed at 11.30 by an informative talk about the Marcham area.

After the talk we shall commence the AGM business which we will endeavour to keep as short as possible to increase the time for social and cultural activities.

After the formal AGM business is completed there will be a break for lunch between 13.00 and 14.00.

After lunch, at 14.00, there will be a walk around the locality led by one of the Marcham Society’s members. This is expected to take around an hour.

TRANSPORT: While there is a reasonable amount of parking in Church Street and around the church’s locality it would be helpful if options to car share could be considered. Marcham has an hourly bus service from Oxford.

MOBILITY CONCERNS:  The church is on the level and accessible, but it reached via about 50 yards of unpaved walkway. Seating will be on church pews. The local walk will follow pavements and some unpaved footpaths across the village.

DISPLAYS: The church will open at 10.00 for societies wishing to set up displays.

LUNCH:  Please bring a packed lunch as Marcham does not have nearby pubs or cafes. Tea and coffee will be provided.  There will be no charge for attending this meeting.
